Identical traffic, seven points apart on share.
Appliances has no public equivalent of the vehicle research-hours series, so the argument is made a different way: two retailers who pull the same traffic and finish in very different places. Same physics, different measurement.
What the evidence base looks like
Two big-box appliance retailers draw within 0.2 points of each other and sit 7.4 points apart on unit share. The gap is built almost entirely after arrival. US category data, presented as category physics rather than as local numbers.

Most of it still finishes in store
75.4% of major appliance purchases complete in store, up 1.8 points. So the decision interface has to hand over cleanly: what the buyer prioritised, what they ruled out and why, on their phone or printed for your floor staff.
